 WHEREAS, the office of Assistant VP Legal Affairs of The Apache Software
 Foundation is to be filled;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Zili Chen (tison) be and hereby is
 appointed to the office of Assistant VP Legal Affairs, to serve in accordance
 with and subject to the direction of the Board of Directors and the Bylaws of
 the Foundation until death, resignation, retirement, removal or
 disqualification, or until a successor is appointed.

 Special Order 7B, Appoint Assistant VP Legal Affairs, was
 approved by Unanimous Vote of the directors present.
