Reflect on the June board face-to-face in Berlin Reflecting on the logistics and cost, it is desireable to coordinate a face to face with one of our conferences. We don't need a face to face meeting every term, but having one when the board sees a lot of turn over post the annual election is beneficial. One of the downsides here is that elections and our annual event are typically more than half a term apart. Very productive face-to-face meeting. Location choice in Berlin to coincide with Buzzwords was not as useful as expected. Would like to have some sort of travel policy for future events and have it planned further ahead of time (such as directly after the election ratifies a new board). Past face-to-face meetings had most travel costs covered by employers which made these costs invisible which were made apparent this time around.
