Apache Doris was founded 2022-06-15 (a year ago)
There are currently 59 committers and 17 PMC members in this project.

Community changes, past quarter:
- No new PMC members. Last addition was Yongqiang Yang on 2023-01-10.
- No new committers. Last addition was Xin Gao on 2023-06-13.

## Project Activity:
We have released:
1. doris-flink-connector 1.5.0 on 4th Dec.
2. doris-spark-connector 1.3.0 on 4th Dec.
And we are voting on releasing Doris 2.0.3

## Community Health:
We held the Doris Summit Asia 2023 on Oct,
with more than 1000 people attended.

2. Holding the first Doris Summit 2022 online

## Community Health:

The community health is good. In the past 3 months, a total of 142
contributors contributed more than 2000 commits. And all important issues
related to the community will be discussed in the dev@doris to ensure the
transparency and openness of the community.

And we also released the roadmap 2023 of Doris to let people know what
Doris community will do this year.

also synchronize relevant progress with developers at bi-weekly meetings
online.

## Project Activity:

1. Doris v1.1.1 has been release on 2022-07-29
2. Doris-Spark-Connector v1.1.0 has been release on 2022-07-11

3. The community is very active at the moment we are working on a lot of
 feature updates and code refactoring, and we are discussing the feature
 list and release time of version 1.2.

## Community Health:

The community health is good. In the past month, a total of 104
contributors contributed 523 commits.

- No new PMC members (project graduated recently).

## Project Activity:

1. We are releasing the first version 1.1 after graduation, which involves

 doris, doris-flink-connector and doris-spark-connector

2. The community is very active at the moment we are working on a lot of
 feature updates and code refactoring, and we are discussing the feature
 list and release time of version 1.2.

## Community Health:

The community health is good. In the past month, a total of 96 contributors
contributed 346 commits. The mailing list is more active than before, and we
are actively guiding the community to organize new feature requests as Doris
Improvement Proposal (DSIP) and publish them on the wiki. There are 20 DSIPs
accumulated so far. And all important issues related to the community will be
discussed in the dev@doris to ensure the transparency and openness of the
community.

Establish the Apache Doris Project

 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors deems it to be in the best interests of
 the Foundation and consistent with the Foundation's purpose to
 establish a Project Management Committee charged with the creation and
 maintenance of open-source software, for distribution at no charge to
 the public, related to a MPP-based interactive SQL data warehousing for
 reporting and analysis.

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a Project Management Committee
 (PMC), to be known as the "Apache Doris Project", be and hereby is
 established pursuant to Bylaws of the Foundation; and be it further

 RESOLVED, that the Apache Doris be and hereby is responsible for the
 creation and maintenance of software related to a MPP-based interactive
 SQL data warehousing for reporting and analysis; and be it further

 RESOLVED, that the office of "Vice President, Apache Doris" be and
 hereby is created, the person holding such office to serve at the
 direction of the Board of Directors as the chair of the Apache Doris
 Project, and to have primary responsibility for management of the
 projects within the scope of responsibility of the Apache Doris
 Project; and be it further

 RESOLVED, that the persons listed immediately below be and hereby are
 appointed to serve as the initial members of the Apache Doris Project:

 begin to discuss and prepare some graduation-related matters.

### How has the community developed since the last report?

 1. Since the last report, we have added 21 contributors and 1 committers.
 There are currently 121 contributors and 20 committers.

 2. We have moved more and more discussions to the dev mailing list, and
 continue to encourage people to discuss issues in the mail group.

 3. We participated in the ApacheCon 2020 Mandarin track, and also
 participated in the Apache China Roadshow held by ACL Beijing.
 This helps Doris become more widely known

 developers joined us and became contributors. But we still need more
 leading developers to join the community who can participate in the
 discussion of Doris' road map, not just start-up members.
 2. Improve the documents and website as well. Currently, most of
 documents are in Chinese and most of English docs are translated by
 machine. We are working on it.
 3. The discussion on dev mail list is still very few. Most of discussion
 and decisions are still make in private or in GitHub issues. We should
 improve the utilization of mailing lists and discuss more public.

 Since the last report, we have added 21 contributors and 1 committer.
There
 are currently 79 contributors and 15 committers.

 More and more companies are considering choosing Doris as their solution,
 and more people are contributing to Doris. In the past three months, the
 number of contributors has increased from 58 to the current 79.

 The community is working hard to improve the usability and functionality
 of the product so that more people can use Doris more easily to solve their
 problems. During this time, a total of 336 commits were merged and 333
 issues were created.

 Our new storage engine refactoring is almost coming to an end. After this
 work, some exciting features can be added, such as secondary index, etc.
