Considering the level of activity, number of contributors and alignment of the missions, Flume and Logging Services have decided to merge. Going forward, Flume will be stewarded by the Logging Services PMC. This is a final Flume board report. A resolution for the merger and all further reports are going to be included in the Logging Services submissions.

that change has been good for increasing the signal:noise ratio on the dev list.
One thing we didn't do yet was update the web site to reflect the addition of
the issues@ list, so the number of subscribers to that list is very low. We'll

DESCRIPTION Apache Flume is a distributed, reliable, and available system for efficiently collecting, aggregating, and moving large amounts of log data to scalable data storage systems such as Apache Hadoop's HDFS. RELEASES * Flume version 1.2.0 was released on July 26 which provides many new features and bug fixes over the previous release. * No further releases are planned at this time. CURRENT ACTIVITY * Development activity continues as can be seen from the following report: http://s.apache.org/eKz * All post-graduation tasks have been completed. All the infrastructure has been setup as a TLP including the website using the CMS, conforming to the branding and infrastructure requirements. * The project has adopted Git as the primary source control system. COMMUNITY * PMC Composition has not changed since the last report. * Committer composition changed with Mubarak Seyed joining as a committer. * A user-group meetup is being organized for the week of October 22 around the time of Strata-Hadoop World conference in NY. * Currently there are: - Total of 117 subscribers to the developer list - Total of 270 subscribers to the user list - Total of 21 committers - Total of 20 PMC members ISSUES * There are no issues requiring board attention at this time.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors deems it to be in the best interests of the Foundation and consistent with the Foundation's purpose to establish a Project Management Committee charged with the creation and maintenance of open-source software related to a system for aggregating large amounts of log data on Apache Hadoop's HDFS and other scalable storage systems for distribution at no charge to the public. - The flume-dev list has currently 103 subscribers with traffic

of 415 messages over last three months.
- A Flume user meetup is being organized on June 13 in San Francisco
Bay Area and has attendance to the planned capacity.
Progress on graduation:

- During the community vote a concern was raised regarding whether
the podling had sufficient diversity (5).
- The Flume community worked with the mentors to reach consensus for
resolving this issue.
- The diversity requirement was clarified and helped resolve this
