S2Graph is a distributed and scalable OLTP graph database built on Apache
HBase to support fast traversal of extremely large graphs.

S2Graph has been incubating since 2015-11-29.

Three most important issues to address in the move towards graduation:

 1. Make a second release.
 2. Attract more users and contributors.
 3. Build the developer community in both size and diversity.

Any issues that the Incubator PMC (IPMC) or ASF Board wish/need to be
aware of?

 None

How has the community developed since the last report?

 * Participated in Apache Big Data and ApacheCon Europe, Sevilla, Spain.

 * Held a session on S2Graph: Internal at Apache Big Data NA
 * Made various networking efforts at Apache Big Data NA, Vancouver and
   Druid Meet-up, Seoul
 * Made plans to integrate with Apache TinkerPop in order to reach a wider
   audience (S2GRAPH-72)
 * Discussion with Apache Zepplin regarding joint meet-ups at Seoul
 * 3 inquiries from user mailing list
 * Submit paper to INFOCOM 2017

How has the project developed since the last report?

 * We decided project logo.
 * Project website is up.
 * Working on issues on providing package for distribution.
 * 20 issues are created, 18 issues are resolved.
 * Working on first release(S2GRAPH-86)

How has the community developed since the last report?

 * There has been concerns about s2graph community, and we have decided
   that committers in the same company will avoid face-to-face discussion
   and start out on the dev mailing list. we opened up 11 discussions on
   the dev mailing list afterwards.
 * There are two new contributors, one is working on packaging and other is
   working on bug fix.
 * We will present about Apache S2Graph in apache-big-data-north-america.

How has the project developed since the last report?

 * We started out the discussion on first release plan and project road map.
 * We opened up the discussion on the project logo.
 * 45 issues are created, 31 issues are resolved, 34 commits merged.
 * We deprecated our old github repository under kakao and made it point to
   ASF github repository.

 * There are two new contributors who have been developing a backend
   storage using Redis.
 * We are currently working with RTC. We made 6 commits by this process.
 * For RTC, we use the Pull Request in Github to review the code.

How has the project developed since the last report?

 * [S2GRAPH-9] We added a new REST server using Netty which shows better
   performance with fewer resources.
 * [S2GRAPH-7] For the above, common codes such as parsing JSON are moved
   to s2core.
 * [S2GRAPH-14] We generalize the HBase-specific code for adding other
   storages easy.

 * Project infrastructures (i.e., jira, wiki, mailing list and git
   repository) setup has been completed, and the site and the source code
   are moved to the Apache infrastructure.
 * All members have submitted necessary CLAs.
 * SGA have submitted from Kakao.
 * There have been no new committers or PPMC members elected.
 * We are discussing the development workflow and the code review policy.

How has the project developed since the last report?

 * We are applying ALv2 header to all files and rat-plugin to audit them.
