## Description:
The mission of Apache EventMesh is the creation and maintenance of software
related to a fully serverless platform used to build distributed event-driven
applications

## Project Status:
Current project status: With high activity.
Issues for the board: none

## Membership Data:
Apache EventMesh was founded 2023-03-22 (a year ago)
There are currently 51 committers and 16 PMC members in this project.
The Committer-to-PMC ratio is roughly 7:2.

Community changes, past quarter:
- Jianbo Liu was added to the PMC on 2024-01-05
- Mingjun Liu was added as committer on 2024-01-06
- Fabian Bao was added as committer on 2024-01-25
- Tian Xia was added as committer on 2024-01-08
- Rongzhen Yan was added as committer on 2024-01-06

## Project Activity:
- 1.10.0 was released on 2023-12-24.
- participate in GSOC 2024(Google summer of code):
 Enhance the serverless ability for EventMesh
- New Feature EventMesh Dashboard under the developing

## Community Health:
14 new contributors
The new features were under designing or developing,
so the commits and PR activity seems a slight increase.
Contributors increased slightly compared to the previous quarter.
Overall community health is good.

## Membership Data:
Apache EventMesh was founded 2023-03-22 (8 months ago)
There are currently 47 committers and 15 PMC members in this project.
The Committer-to-PMC ratio is roughly 3:1.

Community changes, past quarter:
- No new PMC members.
- No new committers.

## Project Activity:
participate Community Over Code North America 2023.

The 2023 Fintech 1024 event held in Beijing, participate in the event and
share EventMesh practice.

Apache EventMesh docker image repository application completed.

New Features:
1.eventmesh-sdk-c merged
2.connector plugins for jdbc, file, prometheus, spring merged
3.rust sdk support cloudevents protocol

## Community Health:
7 new contributors.
The new features were under designing or developing, so the commits

## Membership Data:
Apache EventMesh was founded 2023-03-22 (3 months ago)
There are currently 42 committers and 14 PMC members in this project.
The Committer-to-PMC ratio is 3:1.

Community changes, past quarter:
- No new PMC members (project graduated recently).
- No new committers were added.

## Project Activity:
Software development activity:
 - openconnect merged.
 - rocketmq source/sink connector merged.
 - cloudevents grpc protocol optimization merged.
ready to release v1.9.0

Meetups and Conferences:
 - GLCC tasks created.
 - Community Over Code Asia topics created.

## Community Health:
More than 5 new contributors have been added, and 21 authors
have pushed 76 commits to master and 93 commits to all branches.

The development mailing list had a 67% decrease in traffic,
because we redirect some git-related emails into the issues
mailing list, so the issues mailing list had a big increase
in traffic. We adopt the suggestion given by
cdutz and tried to set up the .asf.yaml follow

(hope to see the change next month).

## Project Activity:
Software development activity:
 - workflow new feature discussion, integration with dashboard.
 - dashboard new feature demoshow.
 - source/sink connector api merged.
 - docker deployment update.
 - java sdk cloudevents protocol optimization.

Meetups and Conferences:
 - We gave a online meetup with the 4paradigm on 27th April.
 - GSOC tasks confirm.

## Community Health:
More than 12 new contributors added, 20 authors have pushed 86
commits to master and 112 commits to all branches.

The development mailing list had a 30% decrease in traffic,
beacuase we redirect some git-related mails into issues
mailing list, so issues mailing list had a big increase in traffic.

## Community Health:
Someone from the community requested a proposal[1], and then PMC created
issues@eventmesh.apache.org and send Git-related information to it.

Establish the Apache EventMesh Project

 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors deems it to be in the best interests of
 the Foundation and consistent with the Foundation's purpose to
 establish a Project Management Committee charged with the creation and
 maintenance of open-source software, for distribution at no charge to
 the public, related to a fully serverless
 platform used to build distributed event-driven applications;

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a Project Management Committee
 (PMC), to be known as the "Apache EventMesh Project", be and hereby is
 established pursuant to Bylaws of the Foundation; and be it further

 RESOLVED, that the Apache EventMesh be and hereby is responsible for
 the creation and maintenance of software related to a fully serverless
 platform used to build distributed event-driven applications; and be it
 further

 RESOLVED, that the office of "Vice President, Apache EventMesh" be and
 hereby is created, the person holding such office to serve at the
 direction of the Board of Directors as the chair of the Apache
 EventMesh Project, and to have primary responsibility for management of
 the projects within the scope of responsibility of the Apache EventMesh
 Project; and be it further

 RESOLVED, that the persons listed immediately below be and hereby are
 appointed to serve as the initial members of the Apache EventMesh
 Project:

 or disqualification, or until a successor is appointed.

 RESOLVED, that all responsibilities pertaining to the Apache Incubator
 EventMesh podling encumbered upon the Apache Incubator PMC are
 hereafter discharged.

 Special Order 7C, Establish the Apache EventMesh Project, was
 approved by Unanimous Vote of the directors present.

 2. We did 3 promotions on The Stack、ITPUB、and ApacheCon Asia 2021, 5
 students of SOC is on going and seems good. A meetup is on schedule.
 3. We have 12 new contributors.
 4. Two-weeks meeting is scheduled.

 1. Enhanced Plugin and make it singleton and will not be a dependency of
 runtime, only use config to enable plugin.
 2. Security Plugin is abstracted, Registry Plugin and ProtocolServer
 Plugin is developing.
 3. Kafka-connector plugin and redis-connector plugin is developing.
 4. Switch properties to ymal format is developing.
 5. CloudEvents and EventStreaming integration is desgining.
 6. OpenSchema integration is developing.
